Peter and Florence O’Shea founded Austrans as a family business in 1986. Having spent 15 years in the freight, transport, and logistics industry, Peter decided to start a company that prioritises customer service and goes above and beyond to get the job done. The O’Shea’s built a business that has survived and prospered through thick and thin.
From humble beginnings, the business has gone from strength to strength, securing large national and international brand clients along the way, focusing on the FMCG, Health and Pharmaceuticals, Food and Beverage, and Retail industries. Since those early days, Austrans has greatly expanded operations and now has offices and warehousing facilities in Melbourne, Perth, Sydney, Adelaide and Brisbane, with around 150 full-time employees across the country, servicing a range of industries.
Our mission is to provide the best possible service and experience to our customers. While the business has experienced tremendous growth, Austrans is proud to have retained a tight-knit culture that values its employees and fosters an excellent customer service culture. Our exemplary service and can-do spirit has energised the business from the start. It continues to drive Austrans to go above and beyond for its customers today and into the future.
